Global VPN vs NetExtender: Which is the Best VPN Solution?
At Slingshot, we prioritize reliable network and computer support services. When considering VPN solutions, we have used SonicWall’s Global VPN (GVC) for its stability and performance for many years, but it lacks modern security features like two-factor authentication (2FA). VPN solutions must include these features to ensure robust security.
We now recommend SonicWall’s NetExtender VPN with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for enhanced security. NetExtender uses the SSL/TLS protocol, offering better encryption and protection. MFA adds an extra layer of security, preventing unauthorized access even if login credentials are compromised. This makes it one of the most comprehensive VPN solutions available.
NetExtender is compatible with various devices and operating systems, including ARM processors that many Microsoft Surface devices have adopted, making it a flexible solution for remote access. It works seamlessly with SonicWall firewall appliances and provides multi-platform support for Windows, Linux, and macOS. Our VPN solutions align with our commitment to staying ahead of cybersecurity threats and ensuring our clients’ networks are protected with the latest security measures.
SonicWall’s NetExtender VPN is our choice for client security and performance. Although Global VPN is outstanding in terms of stability and performance, NetExtender provides far superior security features, making it the optimal choice for our clients going forward. In selecting NetExtender, we provide VPN solutions that prioritize both security and performance.
